Shak Rukh Khan, as the media calls him “Badshah of Bollywood” is an Indian film actor, producer and television personality. “King Khan” has more than 80 Bollywood films to his credit. He has won innumerable awards and accolades. SRK’s magic is not just limited to India, he has fans all over the world.

Beginning his career with popular televsion series like CIRCUS and FAUJI in the ’80s, SRK made his Bollywood debut with DEEWANA. He won several accolades for his negative performances in films like DARR, BAAZIGAR and ANJAAM. He was left his mark as a romantic hero in films like DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE, DIL TOH PAGAL HAI, KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI, MOHABBATEIN, KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM, and VEER ZARA. His portrayal of DEVDAS in the eponymous film won him critical acclaim. SWADES, CHAK DE! INDIA, MY NAME KHAN, CHENNAI EXPRESS and OM SHANTI OM show him portraying a vast range of characters that has added new feathers to his hat.

For his contributions to film, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, and the Government of France awarded him both the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Légion d’honneur.

SRK is the co-chairman of the motion picture production company Red Chillies Entertainment and is the co-owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders. He regularly features in listings of the most influential people in Indian culture, and in 2008, Newsweek named him one of their fifty most powerful people in the world.
