ইংলিশ টিংলিশ: Appropriate Prepositions কাকে বলে জানো কি?

আমদের আজকের বিষয় হল— Appropriate Prepositions. কিছু কিছু Noun, Verb, Adjective এবং Participle-এর পরে কিছু Prepositions বসে তাদের কিছু নির্দিষ্ট অর্থ তৈরি করে। এদেরকে বলে Appropriate Prepositions.

 

আজ আমরা এমন কিছু Appropriate Prepositions নিয়েই আলোচনা করবো।

● adjacent to — সংলগ্ন ( His house is adjacent to the Post Office.)
● accommodate with — ব্যবস্থা করা (The bank manager has accommodated them with a loan.
● aim at — লক্ষ স্থির কিরা (Arjuna aimed his arrow at the eye of the bird.)
● appetite for — ক্ষুধা (My mother has no appetite for food after her recovery from fever.)

● boast of — গর্ব করা (He always boasts of his son’s achievements.
● care of — যত্ন নেওয়া (You must take care of your health.)
● confined to — আবদ্ধ (He was confined to a wheelchair after the accident.)
● cooperate with — সহযোগিতা করা (The teachers cooperated with the principal in the proper running of the school.)
● deficinet in — কাঁচা / দুর্বল (She is deficient in English.)
● devoid of — বর্জিত (You are devoid of good manners.)
● entitled to — অধিকারী (The teams are entitled to play world cup.)
● guilty of – অপরাধী (They are guilty of anti-social activities.

● injurious to — ক্ষতিকারক ( Smoking is injurious to health.)
● lack of — অভাব (The school has lack of funds.)
● object to — আপত্তি করা ( I object to your remark.)
● loyal to — অনুগত থাকা (Dogs are always loyal to their masters.)
● necessary for — প্রয়োজনীয় (Hard labour is necessary for development.)
● parallel to — সমান্তরাল (We drove along the road parallel to the beach.)
● patience with — সহিষ্ণু (The doctor must have patience with his patients.
● reconcile with — পূর্ণমিলিত ( The quarrelling brothers have reconciled with each other.

Appropriate Prepositions– এর কিছু উদাহরণ দিলাম। আরও কিছু উদাহরণ সহ বিষয়টি বিশদে ব্যাখা করে YouTube videoতে দেওয়া আছে। দুটোই ভালো করে দ্যাখো। পরের দিকে আবার কোনো ক্লাসে এই বিষয়ে আরও কিছু উদাহরণ দেবো।
